Now

This is a now page: a snapshot of what I'm spending my time on, rather than a list of everything I've ever done.

Surry for Privacy

Most of my energy is going into Surry for Privacy, our campaign against Surry County's use of Flock license-plate-reader cameras. Right now I'm pushing to learn more about the Sheriff's meeting with Flock, where the paper trail is leading the commissioners, and what's being done about the potential misuse I uncovered. I'm also speaking with The Mount Airy News again this week.

If you'd like to help, you can sign the petition or email the commissioners.

Studying

I'm working through my Master of Accounting at UNC online, with a concentration in tax. This term I'm focusing on financial reporting and tax.

Civic life in Surry County

I'm trying to stay involved in local civic life: paying attention to how decisions get made in the county, and caring about privacy, good jobs, affordability, and education here at home.

I rebuilt this site from scratch. It is still a plain static site with no tracking. The colophon explains how it works.
